The UTS Bats are one of Sydney’s biggest and most popular Australian Football clubs, and the biggest in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Playing in the AFL Sydney Premier, Div 2, Div 3, Div 4, Masters and U19.5 men’s competitions, as well as the Premier, Div 1, Div 3 and U20 women’s competitions, we cater for the serious and the social footballer.
Whether you’re a skilled and seasoned player, a newcomer to the game or simply looking for a weekend kick, the UTS Bats are welcoming of all players and abilities.

2024 MEMBERSHIP FEES
Standard playing membership costs $550 for the 2024 season, however you can apply a voucher code to obtain a special discounted rate if you are a UTS Student, ADF Contract holder, under the age of 21 (age on January 1) or a Masters player.
The table below sets out the discount codes you must use at point of registration (otherwise you will be charged full price). Please note that the club will be following up all members who register using a discount code for proof of eligibility.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Absolutely! Coming out to training with the Bats is one of the best ways to get your playing career up and running. In-season, we train on Tuesday and Thursday nights between either Bat and Ball Oval in Moore Park and Trumper Park in Paddington. When you arrive, our leaders will call you up to meet the playing group during your first warm-up. Yes. If you are a UTS Student, member of the ADF, Under 19 years of age on January 1 this season, there are reduced rates to play.
We welcome all male and female players age-eligible to play senior footy. In New South Wales, you need to be a minimum age of 18 to play senior footy with the Bats .
Your registration includes a pair of shorts and playing socks, but you’ll need to supply your own boots.
We also recommend a mouthguard for teeth protection. After all, footy is a contact sport!
The AFL Sydney competition is the premier Australian Football league in Greater Sydney. Our home games are played at Waverley Oval in Bondi and Trumper Park in Paddington. Our opponents are as close as the inner north shore and inner west, but can be as far west as Penrith and the south-west.
Games usually take place on Saturday.
