The UTS Australian Football Club welcomes Barbetta as the club’s official café partner for the next three seasons.
Based at Elizabeth Street in Paddington, Barbetta exists to provide an everyday taste of Italy to the local community.
By day, Barbetta is a relaxed neighbourhood café and gourmet grocer.
By night, it transforms into a lively trattoria and spuntini bar.
Barbetta partner Craig Thompson says the Barbetta family is thrilled to partner with the Bats, with the club’s spiritual and training base at Trumper Park just a stone’s throw away – making it perfectly situated to grab your match day coffee.
“The Paddington community is at the forefront of what we do at Barbetta,” he says.
“We are so grateful for its support and love from our first days through to some of our most difficult times, and it brings us great joy to continue to give back and get involved in local activities as valued and important as community footy.
“We can’t wait to share an espresso on the sidelines as we cheer on the Bats!”
UTS Australian Football Club president Adrian Sibbick welcomed Barbetta’s long-term commitment to the club.
“For over twenty years, the Bats have been part of the football identity of the Paddington area and it’s great to have a local institution like Barbetta come on board the club,” he said.
“We look forward to building this relationship over the coming seasons, and for the Bats playing group to start calling Barbetta their new coffee stop off Oxford Street.
“We’re also excited about our first event with Barbetta when our Bats networking lunch takes place on Wednesday 16 March.”
